The Thoroughbred Forum – “From Start to Finish – Raising, Racing & Retraining’
- Together, HEROS Charity and RoR showcase Thoroughbreds in all their glory
- An unmissable educational day with demos and lectures
- Tickets on sale
Retraining of Racehorses (RoR) in partnership with HEROS Charity are delighted to present The Thoroughbred Forum ‘From Start to Finish’ on Saturday 22nd April 2023, held at North Farm Stud, in Wantage.
There will be an overarching theme throughout the day, and it will illustrate a comprehensive system that covers every stage in the life cycle of a thoroughbred, from cradle to grave. The speakers will discuss topics such as breeding, retirement, farriery, nutrition, and transitioning from racing to a relaxing second career.
HEROS Charity has been operating since 2006 and began with a focus on ex-racehorse re-training and Re-homing. In addition to the wide range of programmes associated with horses, the charity also works with educational and training programmes including school placement courses for those who are struggling with mainstream education.
David Catlow, Managing Director of RoR explains: “Education forms such a vital part of the charity’s work, as British Horse Racing’s official charity for the welfare of horses that have retired from racing this day couldn’t be more fitting for anyone interested in thoroughbreds. We are very grateful to Grace Muir CEO, and Founder of HEROS Charity.”
Tickets are now on sale at £60 for RoR members, £80 for non-members and includes refreshments, a light lunch and all aspects of the forum. To book your ticket visit https://horsemonkey.com/equest...
