My Pension Expert RoR Racing to Cricket 2025 raises over £50,000
This year’s My Pension Expert Racing to Cricket at the beautiful Wormsley Cricket Ground was a huge success, raising more than £50,000 in support of Retraining of Racehorses (RoR).
Guests were treated to a memorable day of cricket, hospitality and celebration, all in aid of helping former racehorses enjoy the best possible life after racing. The day combined sporting spirit with generosity, creating a fantastic atmosphere both on and off the field.
On the pitch, Quadranet were crowned champions after some thrilling matches, with Nicky Henderson’s Seven Barrows team finishing runners-up. The plate was won by Jack Channon’s team, a huge thank you to all the teams for taking part and providing such wonderful entertainment.
RoR Managing Director, David Catlow said: “We are absolutely thrilled with the success of this year’s Racing to Cricket. Raising over £50,000 is a tremendous result, and every pound will go directly towards supporting our work to safeguard the futures of former racehorses in GB. We are so grateful to everyone who came along, took part and showed such generous support.”
A heartfelt thank you goes to our valued sponsors (My Pension Expert, Newsells Park Winery and Chris and Julie Wood) prize donors and attendees, whose generosity and enthusiasm made the event possible, and who’s support ensures that RoR can continue its vital work in giving former racehorses happy and meaningful lives beyond the racetrack.
